I adore single cuts. When I first started learning diamonds, at the Harry Winston diamond grading school - back in 1976, we leaned to grade single cuts.
The reason is that you can see clarity characteristics more easily. The large facets facilitate this. It's also easier to learn about symmetry - a vital spect of cut grading.
These diamonds are super high quality. VS+ in clarity. I graded them G, but I'm being conservative. They could be E or F.
The diamonds in this ring are large for single cuts. The advantages are clear - much larger facets - larger white flashes, and lots of them - even in dim lighting. It's hard to find .05ct single cuts in this quality.
Sublime mill grain in pink gold. The ring is solid, yet delicate at the same time. 1.8mm at the palm.
