A lot of fuss is made about "Ideal Cut" and in the best cases, with good reason.
However in some cases, what we see is stones cut 62% and deeper, with small (56-57%) tables. Some are okay.
The truth is, we lost something.
This is a pair of the stones we estimate were cut in the '60's.
At the time the belief was that a larger table produced a brighter and showier diamond. I estimate one of these tables at 62, the other at 60%.
They are perfect for earrings. Tons of large bright flashes.
They are colorless- and totally clean.
We've set them in claw prongs 14kt pink gold martini settings. They look amazing in the settings.
