2.47ct Green Turtle Diamond
We were visited today by one of the many brokers that pass through our office from India, Israel, Belgium, and other places.
Everyone knows we don't really carry a lot of traditional rind diamonds, so the cutters that come usualy have something...different.
It's so much fun to look at all the weird diamonds that exist.
This guy always has interesting stuff.
Today he had about 65cts of yellow melee - at low crazy price, but it was not assorted in such a way that we could use it.
Pass.
He also had a bunch of black diamonds. Natural black diamonds, which are much cooler than irradiated black diamonds, as far as I'm concerned. Still, after looking at half a dozen stones including a 17ct black marquise, I was unimpressed.
Pass.
"Thanks," I said, "Sorry, we wont be buying today."
Then he whips out this... turtle.
It was instantly clear to me what it was, and I'll be honest, I was instantly in love.
Although its opaque, to a large degree, the crystal imperfection structure reflects some white light back to your eye.
So it's like a black diamond, kind of.
The diamond has personality, you have to give it that.
The facet structure, as it is, is perfectly suited to its terrapin task - it looks like a freakn' turtle!

If you are interested in this stone, give us a call. You will be purchasing with a money back guarantee, so you are sure to end up satisfied!
