1.04ct I SI2 Marquise Diamond Halo Ring
I love the cut of this Marquise. It is much more difficult to gain a lot of experience and knowledge with Marquise diamonds as compared to round diamonds or cushions. There are just a lot more of those shapes on the market.
I have loved Marquise shape diamonds since the '80s, when they were red-hot. I love this stone's proportions 1.64:1 Not too long, not too fat. I love the light performance. It is a Marquise Brilliant. That means the pavilion facets (the ones on the bottom) are short and wide at the center of the diamond, and long and narrow at the tip. In badly cut stones, this creates a dark band across the center - looking like a bow tie. In well cut stones, like this, the center of the stone generates large white reflections while the tips have a lot more though yet smaller reflections. In this case, the balance between the two is gradual and pleasant. Everything you want in a Marquise.
The great cut also means that the stone faces up very much like a colorless. There colorless pave looks perfect next to this marquise. It's a phenomenal SI2- totally eye clean. It's even tough to pick out the inclusions with a jewelers loupe. Delicate looking, yet sturdy 14kt hand forged ring. Impeccable workmanship.
The SI2 clarity and the 14kt white gold setting add up to a well priced ring of this stature.
The photos above are ACTUAL Photos of the diamond ring you will receive.
