We all know diamonds are carbon. Well, in this case, we have a crystal which was exposed to nitrogen over the eons. This produced an intense yellow color - a very intense yellow, I might add.
In this case, Mother Nature deposited a pinpoint of black carbon in this gorgeous crystal.
In the pictures, the spot seems incredibly prominent. However in person, it's hard to notice. The video gives you the idea.
