Here's a fairly unique lab diamond.
The diamond has an "open culet". You can see it in the photos - dead center in the rounded belly part of the stone.
That single aspect causes a large difference in the shape of the pavilion facets, giving us large "chunky" facets in that portion of the stone.
You get fire, and large bright flashes. The tip is a jumble of sparkle. A different sort of brilliance.
I love the combination. It's definitely a personal choice.
Let's face it, most people choose round.
For those of us who love different and unique characteristics, pear shaped diamonds are a great option. This one is just so cool. Totally colorless. VS1 in clarity - very clean.
