Yellow Lab diamonds are a kind of quirk in the business. Everyone grows colorless.

Since Fancy Colored Natural Diamonds are very boutique ( maybe 10% of the market?)... less effort has been put into making fancy colored diamonds.

Yellow, in particular, has been a problem. I say this as a buyer of lab diamonds.

There's not a lot on the market. And what there is, is mostly brassy orangy stones. Many are kind of dull.

This stone looks like a real natural Fancy Intense Yellow.

The color is pure - the brilliance, exceptional.

It's a beautifully cut Cushion Modified Brilliant- and it was cut exactly as a natural yellow rough diamond would have been.

If the cutter of that natural diamond was the best of the best.

It's by no means "cheap" compared to colorless five carat lab diamonds.

But a natural 5carat diamond that looked like this is about $100k... so there's that.

Plus, once we set it into the ring of your dreams, the stone becomes part of an heirloom. No different from a mined diamond in that regard either.
