2.10ct U-V VS1 Cushion Cut Diamond
I am lucky that in my job, I get to look at quite a few diamonds on a daily basis. This particular Diamond stood out immediately. It just had great life and sparkle. Plus, I really loved the shape when I saw it.
It was in a parcel with another light yellow cushion that was a similar shape and weighed 2 1/2 carats. Yet this 2.10ct was just as large in surface area as the other one. Not only that it had more sparkle and life than the 2 1/2 carat diamond.
Upon closer examination, the quality of cut is apparent. Beautifully proportioned, the small table and generous crown provide great sparkle from many different angles.
The stone is very clean to the loupe, generating a VS1 clarity grade from GIA. We purchased the stone directly from the cutter – it had no GIA report when we bought it. I honestly expected Y-Z in color... but it really does not matter. The diamond has a beautiful light lemon yellow shade that is quite apparent.
Once we set the stone is going to pick up a lot of color as well. The stone represents good value. It is not the cheapest stone in its class, but it is surely one of the best.
