1.02ct Fancy Light Yellow Internally Flawless Double Diamond Halo Ring
A widely held misconception is that an Internally Flawless Diamond is beautiful for that reason alone.
The truth is, that is only one factor in any diamond's beauty - and honestly, from a visual standpoint, a VS2 - or even an eye clean I1 - can be identical to the naked eye as an Internally Flawless. This diamond is beautiful for its amazing color and cut - I cannot decide which of those is the number one factor.
Color: Fancy Light Yellow??? It looks like a Fancy Yellow to me!
Cut: Amazing sparkle stem to stern
Then of course we have the fact GIA has graded this diamond Internally Flawless - which adds to its value, no question.

The Ring
Here is a great example of how difficult it is to manufacture high quality diamond rings in quantity. First and foremost, the ring is a butt kicking ring- exactly as it is. However it is not what I ordered - or designed.
Here is the main difference: I envisioned a double halo, all platinum, yellow gold prongs. 18kt yellow gold claw prongs were to be the only part of the ring that was not platinum. Our bench foreman somehow got this wrong and made the inner halo yellow gold, set with the colorless diamonds. It’s perfectly done- so I can’t fault the quality..
My first impulse was... well I was peeved! I was about to call and ask how, exactly, could this have happened?
Thankfully, I thought more clearly after a few minutes. I felt like someone doing such an amazing job on a ring, yet getting a detail wrong deserved more respect than an angry inquisition. I did have to call - because they would want to know about the error - and so we can resolve it.
So I did.
Once I respectfully pointed it out, they immediately acknowledged the error. They asked me to let them remove the stones and redo the top of the ring immediately. At that point I looked more closely at the ring.
Someone might really love it this way - it’s an amazing piece.
If you want to purchase the ring and have us change it to the double halo in all platinum, we will do so.
However, if you love it exactly the way it is, you’re not wrong, it’s gorgeous. The inner halo in yellow actually makes the center look a bit larger from arm’s length.
The Internally Flawless looks amazing , of course. The ring highlights the color and sparkle.
We accept that in the manufacture of rings like this an error is sometimes going to happen.
If it is your ring we’re making, and something is not exactly as you ordered, we will fix it. Not like it happens every day- but make over 1000 rings a year, and it’s going to happen occasionally.
We stand behind our jewelry.
