SOLD....0.99ct Brownish Yellow VS2 Emerald Cut Diamond R8741

If I've written this once, I've written it a hundred times- I'm a sucker for a great emerald cut.

I just love the steps- the glitter.....the hall of mirror effects. But I rarely find Fancy Yellow Emerald Cuts. The reason is that they don't hold color as well as Radiant Cuts- so most rough is cut to Radiant or Cushion.

If this stone was cut to a radiant, it might have been Fancy Intense with the brownish.

I really think a cutter made an error- because in general, they would find a way to keep the last .01ct, so they end up with a 1.00ct. At this point, his best option was to discount the stone- yipee!!

This stone has personality by the truckload. I adore the "asscher like" cut. Big corners.

You don't really notice the brownish aspect.

GIA also called the color "Uneven"....Right, like they know their behinds from a beehive.....just kidding!!

Seriously- I don't feel that the color is in any way looking not like it's supposed to look. In other words, when you look at it, you'll see a yellow emerald cut.
