Try and find a GIA graded Intense Yellow one carat for this type of price. Good luck. If you do find one the chances are it will be butt ugly. This stone breaks that mold.

The color is close to Vivid Yellow- really pure and nice. The diamond is cut for color, and it succeeds handily on that front. it is a slight bit deep, which manifests itself in a slightly smaller size than some other one carat diamonds, but there are no other negative aspects to the cut whatsoever.

GIA graded the diamond I1 clarity,and that is really the main reason for the price. In that sense, it is as nice an I1 as you will find. There is a small carbon crystal, and in this case, black is beautiful - you cannot see this spot with your naked eye. It just blends in. I cannot even make it out in these hi def macro pictures, but I can see it in the price!
