1.03ct Fancy Yellow VS1 Round Brilliant Diamond Halo Ring

As if it wasn't rare enough just being a fancy yellow round diamond, this one had to go and be graded Excellent in polish, Excellent in symmetry, VS1 in clarity, with No Fluorescence, and incredibly good looking!

Due to the optical physics of a round brilliant cut, it's generally not well suited for fancy yellow – let me rephrase that. The goal of the design of the modern round brilliant cut is to make a diamond look as white or colorless as possible. Generally speaking, that design goal is at odds with the optical mechanics of a way a yellow diamond is cut. The result is that round yellow diamonds generally don't look very yellow, or they don't look very much like what you expect a modern round brilliant to look like in the way of sparkle.

This diamond does it all. In spite of the fact that there are tremendous bright flashes coming off it, it manages to look yellow at the same time - and a lovely yellow shade at that.
