1.15ct D VS2 Cushion Cut Diamond Halo Ring

Here is a "super white" diamond.

It is so devoid of any trace of color, it almost looks…blue. It is not fluorescent, the type of blue I am talking about is like arctic ice. I could almost expect a penguin to poke his little head up. Speaking of ice... is it bad if a diamond has some of the optical characteristics of ice?

Not if you're sweating.

Seriously, the amazing sparkle of this diamond is something like a thousand teeny ice crystals arranged in a lovely pillow shape. The outline is clear, but once your eye tries to find focus on the interior of the diamond, the zillions of sparkles kind of prevent that. There are no large dark static areas. Although the facet pattern is visible in some of the photos, human stereoscopic vision will not be able to see any "patterning" whatsoever. Just sparkle.

Great to see EX/VG on a stone of this type - although it does not produce eye visible effects, still nice to have.

The diamond has good visual size for its weight.

Due to the sparkle, and the tiny nature and placement of the VS2 carbon spot, the diamond is eye clean.
