For those who have been watching us for a long time- 20 years. Wait, can you believe we been here for 20 years? Pretty cool.
Anyway, you might remember one of my mentors, his name is Sam Spade. Sam is 94 years old and still walks this earth. Amazing man. His son is a good friend of mine and still in the business. This stone embodies everything that Sam always did.
It’s a wonderful cut. Really great for scintillation and spread. The stone is quite white.
When Sam’s son brought me the stone to look at the other day, I told him it needed a GIA report. Because we both knew it would get an I1 clarity, he felt a GIA report would not help the stone to find a home. I, on the other hand, believe that on the Internet, buyers need to see the GIA.
This is a great example of a hand-picked I1 clarity Diamond. The imperfections are scattered in a way so that you don’t even notice them.
It’s not a cheap diamond, but it’s extremely desirable in terms of its weight – 1 1/4 carat is a lot rarer that one carat – and the exceptional color and cut.
