We picked a perfectly proportioned pair of step cut trapezoids to emphasize the lovely cut of the Emerald.

In terms of color - they provide a nice contrast to the light blue.

The platinum workmanship is impeccable, featuring lovely claw prongs. 1.7mm shank at the palm. The ring is so nice to the touch....

More details about the center stone

I do love me my emerald cuts! It's such an "honest" cut. You can look right inside... yet it is also a thousand halls of mirrors.

The facets are perfectly arranged to take advantage of the beautifully proportioned corners.

The color is amazing. Basically, when boron is present in the HPHT growth chambers, a faint blue hue is imparted on the rough diamond. This eliminates the need for any post growth treatment. The color is subtle, yet readily apparent- just like a blue diamond mined from the earth. It's also Boron that causes the color blue in earth mined diamonds.

The blue in this particular example is stunning.

GIA would grade this diamond Fancy Light Blue in my opinion. Growers submit the vast majority of stones to IGI as opposed to GIA.

In most cases, we've found IGI to be very close to GIA in terms of accuracy. This is one area where they fall short. Maybe because there's so few natural blue diamonds for comparison.

This diamond is identical to the very best diamond that was mined from the earth in terms of transparency.
