Here's a sweet lab marquise diamond. I love the why the diamond is cut.
Beautiful lines and profile.
Great light performance. The center of the diamond is bright- no negative bow tie effect whatsoever. VVS2 - obviously eye clean.
IGI graded the diamond "H" (Light Blue). We know from experience that GIA will grade a stone like this "Fancy Light Blue" The color is a result of the presence of Boron in the HPHT growth chamber. The pleasing shade is much more subtle- and realistic as compared to irradiated blue diamonds- which can also be lovely - just darker.
We've paired this lovely marquise with a pair of totally colorless bowed edge trilliant lab diamonds. They show a lovely contrast to the fancy light blue center.
