2.00ct W-X VVS1 Cushion Cut Diamond Ring

Here is a super cool ring. As you will read below, I felt GIA under-rated the color on this diamond. Now that it is in this ring it definitely looks like a strong Fancy Light Yellow. The color is noticeable in a very good way.

We buy a lot of traps, so we know the best cutters for them. The side diamonds on this ring are Brilliant Trapezoidal. In my opinion, they are a perfect size and shape for the center. They are bright white and beautifully cut.

The center diamond is cradled by eight gorgeous 18kt yellow gold claws. I love these double prongs. I challenge anyone to find a better job of claw prong setting. It's perfectly done. Believe it or not, they're not catchy at all.

The solid platinum shank is perfectly finished - 2mm at the bottom.

I could have sworn GIA would give this stone Y-Z- maybe even fancy light yellow. As you can see in the pictures, the stone has an obvious light lemon yellow shade.

Just a bit taller than square, this is a great shape for a ring. Newly cut stone like this enjoy the benefit of the latest advances in cutting precision. Even and bright from one edge to the other. Lots of little sparkles. VVS1 in clarity - a tiny tick away from flawless. No fluorescence, so you are good to go by the number. Then, look at the pictures, amazing stone- close to square.
