Let's face it, the natural diamond business has taken it on the chin.

The vast majority of smaller cutters have disappeared. It's just not economically feasible.

My buddy who cut this diamond is a stunning exception. The reason is the value offered by a diamond like this.

It's very reasonably priced for a 2ct G color natural diamond. The GIA I1 clarity is the reason.

This is exactly the type of I1 I've always loved. There is a plethora of imperfections. That might sound like a bad thing, but it's actually, a plus in this case.

The reason is that each Crystal, Feather, Cavity, Needle , etc is so small. If any one imperfection was substantial, the stone would be an I2 or worse.

Most of the little boogers are white - there is a teeny black carbon spot. No way you can see it naked eye.

All of it, put together... the diamond is eye clean.

Colorless too...

Also, I adore the cut. It's newly cut, but it has an antique vibe. Large "chunky" facets. So you get lots of rainbows of fire. Beautiful stone!
