2.24ct Fancy Brown SI2 Round Brilliant Diamond

Here is a super well cut Brown Diamond. I'll call the color Medium Brown. Not too dark, nor too light. Some subtle orange subtone, but orange is a component of most browns. We purchased it as a VS,but upon closer examination, I noticed a virtually invisible crystal. You have to hold the diamond exactly at the right angle to find it with a 10x loupe.

About the cut - wow! I believe the girdle would be rated medium-thick by GIA. Brown diamonds of yore had super heavy girdles. It's actually perfectly proportioned. The light performance in person is excellent a lot of bright flashes. Excellent spread for the weight, and of course for the money.
