3.00ct N SI2 Round Brilliant Diamond

47th street, between Fifth and Sixth Avenues, in New York City - The Diamond District. Where dreams are made, and also, where they go to die. To accommodate that, our little block has a unique set of fellows, and a few ladies that I like to call Sharks. If someone needs to sell something they pounce. I guess like real sharks, they provide a valuable service in nature. I mean, folks need to sell gold and diamonds, and they are there waiting with cash to fulfill the need. Of course, they are going to do what a shark does and go for the jugular when it comes to the prices offered.

One such shark is far less of a maneater - and actually a good friend. He came across this diamond. It is large, at 3cts, and looks quite nice most times in person. Some of the pics make it look overly dull, but I encourage you to look at the video, taken with an iPhone. I take the diamond in and out of a lightbox.

The stone has an IGI report. While I am not a proponent of IGI< they are good at making sure everything is natural, and their measurements are accurate (not so much the cut grading). I mean, the stone is nicely cut, but I would not call it "Ideal" either.

All in all, it's incredibly cheap, and it looks pretty nice in person. So we thought, what the heck let's show it. The stone doesn't really show yellow- it is slightly "sleepy" at times- but it is a slight sleepiness.
