SOLD... 3.18ct Y-Z VS2 Radiant Cut Diamond Ring GIA R1388
This item is currently out of stock.
The stones in this ring were originally sold in January 2003. When the ring came back for a trade up, it was determined to have been at the end of its days as a DBL ring. Not a problem - we gave the stones a new "Uber" home. We work closely with cutters - some of the world's best - to bring you these amazing stones. Here is a perfect example of why we so much love light yellow diamonds. Before we go any further let us clear up the fact that Y-Z, Natural Light Yellow is exactly that - light yellow. This diamond looks nothing like an M color. If the name Y-Z is not so romantic, the price certainly is. See, for the same money as a 1.50carat Intense Yellow (or D color), you can buy a boulder... a lot of ladies think "Romancing the Stone" and they are thinking of a sizable rock. The diamond has a remarkable cut. The smallish table, and nice depth of the crown are responsible for endless flashes of multi-colored light. The clarity on this stone is VS2. In this case a tiny translucent feather, which is extremely difficult to spot even with a loupe, is the cause of the clarity grade. It is impossible to see this imperfection with your naked eye. This diamond has a very strong color for Y-Z. It is very close to the next shade - Fancy Light Yellow. The Ring In this new setting, the diamond looks at least one shade darker than before. The half moons are of the brilliant variety - and they are incredible sparklers. Like a thousand points of light moving through the stones. In typical "Uber" fashion, this ring has artful lines to it. The claw shaped prongs are stunning and add to the beauty of this ring. If you like the ring in these photos, you will love it in person - we guarantee it! Guides related to Diamonds How much will my new diamond appraise for? Fancy Colored Diamond Buying Guide
