.71ct Fancy Dark Orangy Brown SI2 Heart Shape Diamond

Here's a really cool stone! It's a "cleavageless" heart shape. GIA classifies it as Modified Heart Brilliant. The stone has a super cool facet pattern, both on top and below the girdle. That allows a lot of sparkle, in spite of the remarkable depth of color. And boy, what a color! It's brown, but with a healthy dose of orange.

You really can get lost staring into the diamond. It's an SI2, and I can spot some imperfection in the pictures. In real life, the color obscures the imperfections to a great degree.

There's an interesting story about the stone- a good buddy of ours bought it back in 2012, without a GIA report. He submitted it to GIA, but then he forgot about it. A few days back, someone from GIA called to ask him if he wanted to pick the stone up... so it's a brand new, 5 year old certificate!

I can see this stone as a pendant or in a ring. Either for a lady or a man.
