The ring hand forged with a nice addition of pink gold on the halo.

There are absolutely no hard edges on this piece. Everything has a very rounded look and feel to it.

The split shank has a very gentle curve to it. The halo edges are not sharp but nicely rounded for a soft touch. The shank has a lovely circular profile even where the diamonds are set into it.

I'd say that about 85% of the SI2 Emerald Cuts I look at are NOT eye clean. When I find an eye clean stone SI2 stone - especially in a high color, I immediately take notice. Of course I'd really only look twice if the shape and general characteristics are desirable. This one caught my eye.

I love emerald cuts - it's the "simplest" of cuts. If you have a preference for emerald cut, you can probably look at a stone and immediately you know if it's in your sweet spot.

This beauty has as classic a shape as you can find. Lovely corners creating lovely triangular facets converging at a keel line at the bottom. Tons of glitter.

Then we come to the color. Totally colorless F - with the added oomph of strong blue fluorescence. The stone looks really white, and in some lighting there is a slight blue which is quite pleasing.

Fluorescence is another of a diamond's characteristics that are widely misunderstood. It is easy to say both are bad, and that's what a lot of dealers will say - but of course that means having to go for more costly stones.
