Whenever I see the word Asscher, or the abbreviation AS on the paper, I get excited. I love you step cuts in general, but nice Asscher Cut diamond can be really cool. Fancy colored Asscher Cut diamonds are very rare, especially ones of 3 carats. Like this one. When I opened the paper, I gasped. Suffice to say we love the diamond I love the cut of this diamond – the stone exhibits very distinct steps. In terms of overall visual size, you generally have to give up a little bit with an Asscher Cut diamond. In this case, it's still a very large looking diamond. In terms of the clarity, it's a perfectly eye clean VS2. Not only that, it is very hard to spot any imperfection evening using a jewelers loupe The medium blue fluorescence gives it a slightly chameleon like personality, although it is not that much of the color change diamond.
