This item is currently out of stock.
"A desirable I1 diamond?" There's many widely held misconceptions regarding diamonds. One is, an I1 diamond is bound to be dull- and or ugly. This is perpetuated by many misrepresented diamonds. Seems like once a stone is more imperfect than SI2, it's called an I1. Even if its a I3. This stone is a borderline SI2 for sure. The GIA report is for color only- the clarity grade is mine. I am purposefully conservative when I need to issue a clarity grade in a case like this There's a few small carbon spots- I can make them out in the two photos directly below- of one of them did not break the surface- minute and totally not a source of concern- I'd have called it SI2. The stone is totally eye clean. It doesn't hurt that the stone is has an absolutely gorgeous cut. Its laid out perfectly- this means it looks like many 1.20ct Intense Yellow Radiant Cut Diamonds you'll see- and it does this with a great, and consistent brilliance. Then we have the intensity of the color- close to Vivid Yellow But the bottom line is the bottom line- it's priced as an I1 with Medium Blue fluorescence. Take away these two factors- and neither may bother you at all- and it's almost double the price.. Guides related to Diamonds How much will my new diamond appraise for?
