1.22ct Fancy Yellow Brown SI1 Round Brilliant Diamond Halo Ring

Brown diamonds fit into their own categories in so many ways. The rules for how they are cut, for example, is way different than colorless diamonds.

This diamond is cut in a similar manner to a colorless stone - yet different.

The sparkle is still amazing, even though the color is so deep.

Based on the low price, we have not spent the $150 to send her to GIA - we will be glad to do that if you want to buy her, pay for the report, and wait the month or so GIA has been taking lately.

I graded the clarity SI1, and you can see the tiny speck in the stone in some of the photos. However in person, it is not possible due to the color.

It is a great value, and a lovely diamond.

The Ring

This is such an apt setting for this diamond. The halo is subtle in beauty - the pink gold ever presenting so slightly softer in appearance to white (silver actually) metal.

The beauty of the ring extends to the lovely hand forged metal.

The round diamond has found a lovely home - she takes on different colors in different lighting.

More subdued brown in dimmer lighting, yet still kicking back a lot of bright flashes.

In brighter lighting you can see more orange.
