1.65ct E SI2 Pear Shape Diamond

Buying an SI2 diamond is quite difficult for most Internet buyers. After all, a large percentage of diamonds that GIA grades SI2 are not good candidates for purchase, for most buyers. Mainly because many have imperfections which are clearly visible to the naked eye - on the worst cases negatively affecting overall brilliance.

On the other hand, S12 is priced 18% less than SI1, and about 40% less then VS1. That is why I devote time and effort into finding the most desirable SI2 clarity diamonds. This diamond in particular represents a great example. If you look at the "Clarity Characteristics" on the GIA report you'll see "Feather, Crystal, Cloud Indented Natural, Extra Facet." Now look at the plot on the GIA report and you'll see a few faint lines dispersed. In terms of anything else there's nothing larger than a pinpoint.

The reason is that the clarity grade in this case is a cumulative effect. As opposed to one large booger, this stone has about 5 or 6 tiny ones. Each of the imperfection characteristics unto themselves would be categorized as a VS. But you put all of them together and you get a perfectly eye clean SI2 diamond. The clarity characteristics, in this case, have no impact whatsoever on the overall brilliance of the diamond. In that area, this diamond is among the best colorless pear-shaped diamonds you will see.

The cut is nothing short of amazing. Incredible brilliance – crisp facets. Also something which almost every potential buyer loves – the stone looks like it weighs more than two carats, but you're only paying for 1.65cts.

Amazing organic teardrop shape. Blinding white E color. No florescence.

This is a truly remarkable find for someone looking for a colorless pear-shaped diamond.
