After having advised millions of readers over the years to trust GIA, it might be hypocritical to question their grade on this stone, but everyone is human. We bought the stone from a cutter without a GIA report, and submitted it ourselves. I was thinking it would come back K, but it faces much whiter. As opposed to many L color stones I have seen, this one has virtually no discernible tint, in the face up position. The beautiful fluorescence is a boon in this regard - it adds such a lovely "boost" to the sparkle and color. I still think it's a K... but nonetheless... Only in the light box could I coax a tint with the camera. Nice eye clean VS2. I love the cut as well. The small table comes with a nice high crown. This modern interpretation of sparkle is just lovely. Don't expect any sort of patterning- don't expect to be able to focus your eye on the bottom of the diamond as you gaze into it- due to dazzling sparkle. This diamond is accompanied by GIA's Diamond Dossier. This service includes a laser inscription microscopically engraved on the girdle of the diamond.
