ACTUAL Video and Photos of this Beautiful Cushion Cut Diamond before and after setting.
When I first see a diamond, it's cut- the quality of it's cut- is readily apparent. Of course closer inspection is necessary to confirm. Buying by first glance makes no sense at all. On the other hand, it's more likely you will love something if it catches you at first glance- although that's not always true either..... But really, if we're speaking of cut as an attribute in itself- well cut diamonds are generally easy to spot. For example, this diamond will appear as a 2 carat diamond to many observers- due to it's trim 58.9% depth. I can find no negative side effects to this whatsoever. On the contrary, the stone is remarkably lively - tremendous sparkle. Other visible attributes to this lovely cut have to do with it's pleasing shape. It's just a teenie bit too tall to be called a square. This "almost square" profile happens to look great in this ring.
The color: Fancy Brownish Yellow, is evident in these photos. Yellow is the prominent hue Now that it's set it looks a lot like an intense yellow.
The ring is a gorgeous low slung affair. You have to really have skilled people to get the stones placed just so.
I love these side diamonds- they behave somewhat like trills- but the step cut aspect gives them a glittery sparkle that's unique.
A note about photographing diamonds: The main goal we have is to most realistically represent the diamonds we are selling. In the case of Natural Fancy Colored Diamonds, they have different appearances based on the light source. You may notice that the diamond looks darker in some of the photos, and lighter in others. It is this way in real life as well. We choose the photos ( which are not retouched in any way for color) that most realistically represent the lightest and darkest face of the diamond Diamond Color Chart for faint yellow and yellow diamonds |
This diamond has been examined and graded by the Gemological Institute of America. The report accompanies your purchase.
