For example- if you read a guide devoted on how to buy diamonds by the numbers, it would give you parameter. The depth must be between such and such a number, it's table likewise
This one falls outside any guide you might read- big freaking deal- the diamond did not read the "guide". For one thing, this diamond is shallow if you take the average emerald cut diamond which might have a 60-75% depth. This remarkable diamond goes against that with a depth of a mere 50.8%! The great thing about that is that it means the diamond can easily be mistaken for a carat and a half. Now, if one could cut a diamond like that, and have it look amazing at the same time? Sounds like a win-win to me. Of course there are ugly diamonds with 50% depth. Just like there are ugly guys that are 6'2" 195 lbs. Measurements tell you only so much.
