1.12ct J VS2 Cushion Cut Diamond Halo Ring

Let's talk cushion diamonds. If you are shopping, there are a lot of choices. A few important questions to ask:

1) What is the general shape you have in mind? Knowing what type of ring sometimes helps to clarify. Cushions can range from squarish stones with slightly bowed sides, like this one, to stones that look almost oval many times rectangular.

2) What type of sparkle do you want? Some stones have a "bucket of crushed ice look" - lot's of tiny flashes - this one shows larger chunkier flashes of light and dark. The photos give you a good idea.

I love this cut. It has a very interesting sparkle/glitter combo in person. I love J/VS2 as a grade for this stone.

A J color is a heck of a lot less than a G - forget about comparing to a D color. This stone does not show a lot of color - if any. Perfectly eye clean VS2.
