Here's a very lively "Sparkle" Cushion Diamond. I love the cut of this diamond. There's a number of aspects I consider when judging a diamond's cut. First is liveliness to the eye. Does the stone sparkle? Then we consider the shape and general personality. This part is more subjective. Sometimes someone is looking for a square, sometimes a rectangle. Sometimes someone is looking for an old fashioned "chunky" cushion, others want a stone with a lot of sparkle. This stone is a soft cornered rectangular stone as you can see. The camera captures an instant in time- so you can see the lovely facet work here in these photos. In person, there's nothing "chunky" about the amazing sparkle here. It's like a bucket of crushed ice. Look inside and you can't see the bottom.
It's a very clean diamond, at VS1. You'd need to have good eyes, and use a jewelers loupe- you'd still struggle trying to see the tiny speck..
