2.69ct M VVS2 Round Brilliant Diamond

Based on the way this diamond is cut, I surmise it was originally cut in the 1960s or '70's. The type of stone Don Draper would have given Betty. It's different then the stones they cut today because priorities were a bit different in the type of light return they were looking for. The cutters were aiming to get a more even sparkle, as opposed to the contrast you get in the hearts and arrows look. Also, this diamond has great spread for the weight.

As it turns out, that works really well with this color – because it looks so bright and white. It also looks like a 3 carat diamond. As a VVS2 obviously it's very clean, all this at a great price
