This is a really cool diamond!
Yes, it is a bit imperfect.
Yes, it is cut kinda funky.
NONE of that mattered to me the first instant I laid my eyes upon it - or the 100 times I have looked at it since. The color is breathtaking. Bright, yet deep. Vibrant.
I can promise you that you will get a refund if you don't love the ring when you get it, but I feel that the possibilities of that happening, based on these pics - and the actual stone - are remote at best.
The Ring
We came up with a very cool design for this cool diamond. You've got very smooth bezel work, framed in a textured mill grain edge. I love this contrast.
The setting is a great home for this diamond. Please have a look at the video. It gives you a good feel for the way the diamond behaves - including the way you can see the imperfection, but its not really a bother. In normal room lighting, you could never make out the imperfection, but you will be dazzled by the color even in low lighting
Round diamonds do well in bezels - the stone is very bright in the setting. It's a substantial piece of platinum at 8.8 grams.
