Natural Fancy Light Pinkish Brown Cushion Cut Diamond
What do you think of the color brown? We all know that doody is brown......so we've become "colorists" against the hue. In fact, there's a lot of gorgeous things that are brown. A few that come to mind.....leather, wood, hair, earth. When it comes to diamonds, this prejudice against browns has lead to a very cool phenomenon. If a pink diamond has brown in it, it's price is cut by as much as 80%. Of course, if a brown diamond has pink in it- as GIA felt this one did- it bumps the price up there. We love this type of diamond. One it's set, it's pink. To my eye pink is dominant over the brown anyway, but who am I to comment, GIA has the last word here.
The overall look of the cut is very nice, although the diamond would be considered deep if we were judging it by colorless diamond standards. But when a diamond has this pink a color- the cutter uses different standards. As you can see in the video, the stone is ultra lively
The GIA report is for color only. I graded the diamond I1due to the feather at about 6:00. You can see it in the photos above. To me, this type of imperfection is just about benign- it blends in.
Diamond Color Chart for Pink diamonds A note about photographing diamonds: The main goal we have is to most realistically represent the diamonds we are selling. In the case of Natural Fancy Colored Diamonds, they have different appearances based on the light source. You may notice that the diamond looks darker in some of the photos, and lighter in others. It is this way in real life as well. We choose the photos ( which are not retouched in any way for color) that most realistically represent the lightest and darkest face of the diamond We can offer you a fully custom made ring to take full advantage of all this diamond's attributes The diamond is offered loose This stone will look awesome in a solitaire, a halo, or a three stone ring.
We recommend buying your diamond and ring from the same seller. There are many reasons for this. For one thing, you have one company to be held responsible for the quality of your entire product. We can sell our semi-mount rings at a substantially lower price than we could if semi-mount rings were our only business. Generally speaking, every time we sell a semi-mount, we are selling the diamond that is going in the center. Therefore we can afford to offer a super high quality product at a far lower price could find from a company selling only semi mount rings. Potential Ring Choices Our rings are all "Made To Order". Some are fully custom made. Our less expensive rings are made from parts, selected with an extremely critical eye from commercial casting suppliers. Meticulous attention to detail, thoughtful design, experienced craftspeople - all contribute to the superb quality of the rings we produce. Let us make one just for you. |
