SOLD.....Loose PINK Diamond: .72ct Fancy Light Purplish Pink Round Diamond GIA Report R3068

Here's a remarkable pink diamond. OK, purplish pink.....TO my eye, the purple aspect makes the pink even pinker. If that makes sense..

 it's not "deep pink", yet the color is obvious. It's a lovely shade.

As you can see above, the diamond has a GIA "Color Origin" report.

I believe the reason it was submitted for this color only report, is because GIA would have graded the clarity I1. Is I1 bad?

It really depends on the nature of the I1.

if it['s a big black spot in the middle of the diamond, it would likely be very noticeable.

This stone has a few wispy feathers- you can see them below on the left side of the diamond.

They are not obvious in real life.

The cut is such an important aspect of any diamond.

This remarkable diamond was cut to resemble a modern round brilliant, while projecting as much pink as possible. I believe they have succeeded- the cutter is actually thinking of putting it back on the wheel in hopes of coaxing a Fancy Purplish Pink ( As opposed to the current Fancy Light Purplish Pink). If he succeeds, the price will double. He's allowed us a few weeks with it. Buy it someone! Can't you hear the diamond screaming "Take me home before they put me back on that cutting wheel!!!"

It has great brilliance. Plus- look at that color!
