We started with a
stone of breathtaking color
The color of this Sapphire is exceptional, for sure. It's so very blue, yet so very sparkly all at the same time. Deep azure, rich cobalt blue. Incredibly Lapis Lazuli. The hue is an unusually bright blue. It is also an incredibly pure blue- not even a hint of purple.
All the while she
always winks back at you
The stone has a lovely shape. Lovely organic cushion- totally rounded, yet rectangular in nature. The cut is also great because the sapphire has great size for it's weight. This stone looks as large as many a 4 carat sapphire. The Custom Made Platinum Ring
When I sat down with the head of our factory and we looked at this stone, it was immediately clear- pull no punches, spare no expense. How could we have "pulled a punch"? For one thing, we could have used white gold- which would have reduced the price about $1000. Given the size, cut and color of this sapphire, we chose the very best metal for making a ring- platinum. We also added the sparkling touch of diamonds micro-set into the side of the shank.

In the photo on the right, you can see what I'm talking about. The Sapphire on the left is quite a nice one. Believe it or not, in this particular case, the Sapphire on the left had a higher price than the stone on the right- which is the stone I chose.
