We are now working with master gemstone cutter Roger Dery. This is a precision cut stone, cut by Roger. He is a cutter that sources much of the rough at the actual mines. This means we get accurate origin info as well as if a stone was treated or not. This is a stunning sapphire. The color is so beautiful and unfortunately a bit hard to capture with a camera. The minor specs you see in the photos are not visible with the naked eye.
These little specs are also evidence that the stone was never heated as high temperature changes the structure of the stone.
WE LOVE SAPPHIRES THAT SPARKLE
In the photo on the right, you can see what I'm talking about. The Sapphire on the left is quite a nice one. Believe it or not, in this particular case, the Sapphire on the left had a higher price than the stone on the right- which is the stone I chose. It's making it's new owner very happy as you read this. Sparkle is the type of Sapphires, Rubies, and Emeralds we carry. Our stones are all NATURAL - including this awesome Sapphire.This one's a great example of the sparkle I love combined with a lovely shade of purple Many Natural Sapphires, are heated during the cutting and finishing process. This stone does not appear to be heat treated at all. CUSTOM MADE RINGS AVAILABLE This Sapphire is offered loose, but we would be delighted to help you design and manufacture a fabulous setting for it. You can pick from any of the rings on the site- we'll replicate the setting for the stone you purchase Or, if you want a three stone ring, you will approve the design, and side stone selection.
