I really love what I do - buying diamonds is Fun!!

The first time I laid eye upon it I was taken.

The color is amazing. Very close to Fancy Intense Yellow.

The cut is also remarkable. Great size for the weight, and the brilliance is amazing.

It is an SI2, which drew me to it as well.

I love to find stones that have a bit of benign imperfection.

The type of thing that has little or no impact on the appearance, yet a large impact on price.

Of course the GIA grades for polish and symmetry do not really tell us how well a diamond is cut.

In this case there are a few tiny areas of white imperfection - dispersed - as well as a truly minuscule carbon spot.

None of this is visible to the naked eye, and you can't really even pick them up in the hi res macro pictures.
