1.09ct Fancy Light Yellow SI1 Cushion Cut Diamond

Here is a stone that I found appealing from the first time I set eyes upon.

It has a color that is very close the the next darker shade> It looks a lot like a Fancy Yellow.

Then there is the clarity - in this case the SI1 aspect takes nothing away from the visual beauty o the diamond. As you look at the GIA report you will see that the number of imperfections comprising the SI1 clarity grade is more than 12.

I stress again the point that clarity as defined by GIA - is about the presence of imperfection - as opposed to its visibility.

If we had a hypothetical diamond this size and took the more than 12 little teeny imperfections noted on the GIA report and mushed them all together - then put it in just the right location - they might be visible.

It is extremely difficult to find them with a loupe - so they do not show in our photos, nor will they in real life. In this diamond, the largest imperfection can be seen as a tiny white cloud at the edge of the diamond at about 6:00 in the photo below

The cut gives us very good size - the shape is appealing - and the sparkle is great.

Put it all together an the SI1 aspect saves you at least 10% on the price of this stone compared to a VS1.
