1.10ct Y-Z, Natural Light Yellow SI1 Radiant Cut Diamond Halo Ring

I love diamonds like this. Basically, it is for an open-minded person. Why?

Well, for one thing, you have to think outside the box for like a diamond that's graded Y-Z color.

There is a perception that once a diamond is graded "Fancy Light Yellow" it is a fancy colored diamond – by the same logic, a diamond like this, is not a fancy colored diamond. I would dispute that – based on the way the diamond looks, as opposed to the name of the color grade. But whether or not I dispute this aspect, that is irrelevant to the market forces.

The result, is that you can buy this diamond for a nice percentage less than fancy light yellow.

In terms of color, it looks pretty much exactly like a fancy light yellow, just a hair lighter.

The cut is one of those huge amount of sparkle type of cuts. There's no pattern whatsoever.

In some of the photos, the camera actually captures the facet pattern beautifully. But your eyes can't manage to do that, so what you get is dazzling sparkle. The stone is also cut to maximize its surface area. So it is 1.10 carats, and it looks like 1.25 carats, or even a bit larger.

The diamond is a totally clean SI1 clarity diamond. The nature and location of the imperfections makes them extremely difficult to find with a jewelers loupe. There is no way you could see any of them with the naked eye.

The Ring

Now that she's set, ain't nobody going to guess that this diamond is not a Fancy Intense Yellow! I mean it - seriously the color is just amazing - as is the sparkle.
