1.21ct Fancy Intense Yellow SI1 Cushion Cut Diamond Halo Ring

Here is a great value in a carat and a quarter Fancy Intense Yellow diamond.

The brilliance is remarkable in person. The material itself is one reason, and the amazing cut is another. You can see the lovely shape in the photos - a nice rectangular cushion. The stone looks large for its weight.

In terms of intensity, the stone is about a 7 on a 1-10 scale where 1 is very close to Fancy Yellow (the next lighter shade) and 10 is closer to Vivid Yellow.

However, it is not only the intensity of color that drew me to the diamond, the color is extremely pure and true yellow. Not a hint of orange or brown - sometimes you can find these undertones in a stone graded Fancy Intense Yellow by GIA.

The stone is an SI1. In most of the photos you will notice the heart of the stone is clear, and that is what you will see in person.

I did manage to capture the "Garden" in this one photo below. I took over 100 photos of this diamond, and ring- you really can't see the imperfection in any pics but this one- that says something. The stone is eye clean.

This aspect makes the stone about $1000 more affordable than a stone that might look the same naked eye, but graded VS1 by GIA.

The Ring

Now that it is set, the canary yellow color is even more vibrant. A diamond like this gathers light from all over - even the bottom- so we always make sure the bottom of the diamond is not sealed in. In this case, it's a lovely, airy design.
