1.52ct U-V, Natural Light Yellow SI1 Cushion Cut Diamond

I love stones like this because of the tremendous value they offer.

Much less costly that stone just a few shades darker, such as “Fancy Light Yellow”

Looking at the stone I can see why it got U-V- but I could also add that GIA might have gone W-X, even Y-Z on a different day. The U-V through Y-Z shades are among the toughest to grade consistently.

In terms of cut, it has all the aspects I love to see. Great sparkle, emanating from all parts of the stone - no patterns at all - just sparkle

Then we have the cushion shape, really pleasing to my eye - nice curves. Another phenomenal aspect of the cut is the size. If you told me it was a 2 carat stone I would believe it, based on the size.

The clarity was graded SI1 by GIA. It is a totally eye clean diamond.

The Ring

Now that she's set, the diamond looks every bit as yellow as most Fancy Light Yellow diamond rings you will see.
