1.70ct Y-Z VS2 Radiant Cut Diamond Halo Ring

Since we're always looking for the best in "Alphabet" diamonds, we see an inordinate number of stones graded between S-Z by the GIA. The cutters know we buy them for stock- as opposed to the bulk of today's diamond sellers who can only offer diamonds they do not own nor possess- the stones are owned by various cutters and dealers.

These stones are generally available on a fair number of sites.

These sites do sell diamonds - but a fair percentage get returned.

This does not please the owner of the stone.

There's a number of reasons stones get returned after an online purchase. The most important reason is that the buyer is disappointed due to lack of information going in offered prior to purchase.

Once we buy a stone, it is not offered anywhere else.

The cutter would 100% prefer to sell a diamond to us, as opposed to leaving it on the list sites.

That is why we publish so many pictures. Also the person writing about the diamonds on our site has it right in front of them, so they can really answer questions best about the stone. That is why our return rate is very low.

This was an exceptional stone, so we purchased it.

I love the long shape - and it has a great size for the weight. The color is a very pure, light lemon yellow - a great example of how nice a Y-Z can look - just a tiny bit lighter than a good Fancy Light Yellow.

Totally eye clean VS2.

VG/VG in polish & symmetry with NO Fluorescence

All strong points.

Of course, the fact it has an awesome cut came into the decision making process.

It is not priced at the bottom of the market - nor would I expect it to be.

However it is still a good amount less money than a GA graded Fancy Light Yellow with a cut as nice.

The Ring

For this amazing stone we chose yellow masterpiece - the result is that the stone now looks quite intense - amazing. Okay, I am prejudiced... but come on! This is totally unique and stunning piece. We used Y-Z Light Yellow Melee stones to compliment the center.

Our "Uber Guys did an amazing job, as usual. Overall effect is stunning!
