2.06ct Fancy Intense Yellow SI1 Octagonal Step Cut Diamond

This is a totally unique Diamond. I've never seen another one quite like it. It is also a totally gorgeous diamond. I mean let's face it, totally unique doesn't mean much if something is butt ugly. In this case, the stone is just exceptional from every angle. It's kind of like someone took an emerald cut and rearranged it a bit... no. How about - it looks something like an emerald cut crossed with a pear shape. Or an Asher cut that someone somehow softened the edges and shifted around…

At arms length, when I first saw it, I thought it was a pear shape, but I immediately noticed that it was glittering, as opposed to sparkling like all the other fancy colored diamonds that were occupying the large tray but the color was exhibiting the stones in.

I was immediately drawn to it and picked it up. It glitters just like an emerald cut but the shape is totally different. It's a very cool play on light - and then the color! A gorgeous canary yellow intense yellow. In terms of clarity, there is nothing that you can see with the naked eye – other than the beauty of the stone.

We generally stay away with diamonds that exhibit florescence in intense yellow colors. In this case there is no issue whatsoever from the florescence. Even though it's very rare, it's priced very well.

I can see it as a pendant or a ring.
