2.08ct Fancy Yellow VS1 Modified Princess Cut Three Stone Diamond RingWould you call this a princess cut? GIA wouldn't – but then again they never use the term "Princess cut" A diamond that looks like one you might traditionally associate with a princess cut would would be called a "square modified brilliant". As part of the difficulty that faces many Internet shoppers, there is a lot of information out there – with very little context to give it the proper value. That is one of our main jobs - to offer diamonds in as transparent a manner as possible. I will call this a modified princess cut for simplicity. However no matter what you call it, it is a beautifully cut diamond. It has a good size for 2 carat stone, and the small table gives it a very distinctive sparkle resulting in a very bright diamond. The cut is far less common than cushion and radiant cut diamonds. It is also about as perfect as square as you can get in terms of length by width The diamond was graded "Fancy Yellow" by GIA. It has a beautiful, and strong, pure yellow color. I would say it is fairly close to a fancy intense in terms of shade. It is a very clean diamond that is VS1 in clarity. The Ring In this case we chose a lovely pair of "bowed edge" trilliant cut diamonds - perfectly fitted in both proportion, as well as shape to the 2.08ct center. The color presents a stark and attractive contrast. The ring is a hand forged "Uber" model. Low to the finger and sure to be very comfortable to wear.
