2.14ct Fancy Light Yellow SI1 Radiant Cut Diamond Halo RingSpeaking from experience, diamond buying is a daunting task. If you're a buyer, there's a different kind of stress than I face- I buy diamonds every day, so if I make a mistake, I have to lick my wounds and move on. Take a loss. It's not the end of the world (occasionally). For someone buying the diamond for personal use, making a mistake can be horrible. One of the aspects that is most daunting is wading through the wide array of prices for stones that seem to be ostensibly similar. But that's trying to compare diamonds on paper, versus comparing actual diamonds. Stones that dealers know are not as well cut will be as much as 30% less.. Or a stone might have an unattractive hue, or a weak hue, or Fluorescence. Or an imperfection that's visible to the naked eye. Any of these aspects can reduce the price of a Fancy Light Yellow by 25-30%. In this case, the stone is priced at the very bottom of the market, for a well cut Fancy Light Yellow SI1 with No Fluorescence. The reason is the very slight carbon spot visible in the center of the stone in a few f the photo. In real life a sharp eyed person might spot if, if you are over 40, it is far less likely you'll be able to pick it out. Other than that, the stone is an absolute knock out. Great cut. Edge to edge sparkle - great size for the weight. The color is pure and strong for a Fancy light yellow. The Ring This is an awesome style - and it truly fits the personality of this diamond.
