.54ct Fancy Vivid Yellow SI1 Pear Shape Diamond Halo Ring

This is an absolutely super vivid yellow pear shape diamond. Since it is vivid, the first thing we should talk about is the hue. The stone exhibits a yellow that is completely pure. To my eye, it's devoid of any brown or orange sort of modifier. A bright yellow canary yellow. This alone makes the stone very desirable.

In terms of the cut, it's phenomenal. The shape of the stone is nice, but that is purely subjective of course. Personally, I love the shape. It's definitely on the chubby side – yet still totally organic. One curve starting at the point circling around back to itself. The sparkle is complete - edge to edge. There are no large dark areas in the diamond whatsoever. Now, although all that stuff is great,, this is even better… It looks like many 80 point diamonds, maybe even 90 point diamonds. That's right, it weighs 54 points.

The clarity is SI1. There is a slight black pinpoint that might even be visible in some of these photos. In person, it would be totally impossible to see.

The stone exhibits no fluorescence, as noted by GIA.

Put it all together and it's quite a large, and desirable Fancy Vivid Yellow Diamond for the price.

The Ring

The split shank on this ring is prominent and is very complimentary to the shape of the center diamond. The ring has soft edges to it making it very comfortable to wear.

The center stone really lights up in this ring!
