1.05ct Y-Z VS1 "DBL" Branded Old Mine Brilliant Split Shank Diamond RingI love an Old Mine Brilliant Diamond cut in an elongated shape like this. In our branded DBL Old Mine Brilliant Diamonds, those larger facets really kick in to give you a lot of large reflections coming back to your eye - and the yellow is unmistakable. The diamond does have somewhat of a chameleon like personality due to the medium blue fluorescence. In this case, I think that characteristic caused GIA to give it a Y-Z, as opposed to Fancy light Yellow, which is how it looks indoors. The Ring I love this design for this stone. It was actually suggested by a client for another stone, and it really suits this one perfectly. The look is dainty, however we made it in platinum which means it durable for daily wear. The bezel, perfectly done, really increases the color and indeed. The stone has lost a bit of the "chameleon" personality. The stone's "canary" personality really comes through The scrolls on the side add to the "antique vibe." Nice finger coverage. Sweet ring at a great price.
