1.01ct Fancy Intense Yellow SI2 Pear Shape Split Shank Diamond Halo RingHere is a diamond we purchased years ago- way back in 2005. In terms of sparkle, the cut is great. In terms of color, it SCREAMS yellow - close to vivid. It is SI2 in clarity. There is a tiny black spot in the center of the diamond. I cannot see it, however I know others can. The stone is a little deep, so it is not large for a 1.01ct pear shape. However if you give up a little size, and if you're not a clarity freak, you can get a sweet deal on a screaming Fancy Intense Yellow diamond ring. People commonly ask why some items have not sold yet - and some stick around for years. On the other hand, sometimes an item gets posted, and within a day the sold sign gets put on it. The truth is I view our collection as fluid - things do tend to flow pretty well. In this case I believe the three stone ring (shown below) was simply not the right vehicle for the diamond. We used the side diamonds next to a different stone (R4573) where they seem to look made to order - and made an entirely new ring for this guy. Although any ring with this many diamonds can suffer a micro pave stone loss, ours have proven to be quite stout - and we’ve made a huge number considering our quality standards.
